Everest Mouldings & Specialties provides a Lifetime Warranty on all mouldings sold under LightCoves.ca against manufacturing defects in materials and craftsmanship, subject to the conditions, exclusions, and limitations stated below.
This warranty applies to moulding products only.
1. Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers:
- Structural integrity failure due to manufacturing defect
- Material defect in EPS substrate
- Defect in plaster coating or surface finish integrity (as manufactured)
This warranty is valid for the lifetime of the moulding product under normal residential or commercial interior usage.
2. Warranty Exclusions
This Lifetime Warranty does not cover:
- LED strip lights, LED components, transformers, drivers, power supplies, wiring, or electronics
- Damage caused by improper installation, handling, storage, transport, modification, trimming, sanding, painting, or cutting
- Damage resulting from moisture exposure, water leaks, mould growth, fire, extreme humidity, or environmental factors beyond normal indoor conditions
- Damage caused by adhesives not suitable for the surface
- Damage from building movement, framing shifts, drywall structural issues, or ceiling/wall failures
- Finish, colour, paint, primer, stain, or coating applied after purchase
- Cosmetic variation or subjective aesthetics
3. Installation Disclaimer
If installation is performed by Buyer or a third-party independent installer, Buyer assumes all installation liability. We do not warrant workmanship performed by non-affiliated installers.
If Everest Mouldings & Specialties provides installation under a separate agreement, installation workmanship terms will be defined within that separate agreement.
4. Warranty Claim Procedure
All warranty claims require:
- Written notice
- Proof of purchase
- Photographic evidence of alleged defect
- Access to inspect product if required
Approved warranty claims will result in replacement of defective moulding product only.
5. Warranty Limitations
This Lifetime Warranty is limited solely to replacement product. No refunds are issued. Labour, removal, installation, LED components, painting, finishing, electrician costs, and related construction or service costs are not included or reimbursable.
6. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada with exclusive jurisdiction in Toronto, Ontario.
